What is the best type of flat roof for your commercial building? This is the question that many people wrestle with. There are many tar & gravel roofs that are aging out across Calgary and all of Alberta. When it’s time to replace the roof, there are multiple options that can be explored. Torch-on (SBS) systems are very common and can provide good protection for your building. If the old system is being removed, then Insulation and slope packages become a factor in the decision process. Single-ply membrane roofs have been gaining popularity for large projects. An SPFRS (Sprayed Polyurethane Foam Roof System) can often provide a new roof system without the cost of a full removal. A SPFRS roofing system can also address slope issues and add insulation value.

The Beyond Roofing Team can help you with your residential roof. Whether new construction or renovation, our installers can get your home’s roof complete. Our estimators can walk you through shingle selection, or help you choose between a metal roof or a membrane for your home’s flat roof system.
Let’s Get Started
To get the process started, simply reach out to us and we will book an appointment to come do a roof walk, once the roof walk is complete, we will discuss options with you and provide quotes. Once you have chosen a roofing system, we will schedule the work. Prior to the scheduled work, and depending on the roofing system chosen, we will complete some prep work and/or material delivery. With the prep and delivery done, the roofing work can commence. If the roof is going on a new build we can get right to work installing, if it is a re-roof application, we start by removing the old roofing material first, then get right to work installing the new roof. Once the roof is complete, we will remove our equipment and any excess material, and perform a final inspection. With the final inspection done, you will receive applicable warranty documents. You will then be the proud owner of a new roof system.

FAQ
Can you install a roof in the winter?
Yes, we do install roofs during the winter, although certain types of roofing are temperature dependent, so it will limit your options. Weather can also affect the schedule, so it may take longer than normal.
What kind of warranty will I get?
Most roof systems come with 10-year warranties, some have optional paid upgrades for better coverage, and/or longer time periods. Our estimators will be happy to explain all of the available options to you.
How do I know which roof system is best to go with?
Our estimators will fully explain all the roofing options and will take the time to listen to your concerns and make recommendations. Ultimately, you make the final decision however, as our estimators are not paid by commission, you can rest assured that our recommendations are based on what we feel is right for you, not what is right for their paycheck.
